A Great time at Monthly Launch .

June 21,2008 You couldn't ask for better weather. At 7:00 am it was 77 at 12:00 pm it was 94+ the rest of the day . Light breezes partly cloudy . Fine rocket flying weather. The best part would be the young kids with their Alpha's the only difference is that those have the orange plastic nose cone and fins .I personally think that takes away from the building because you learn though doing.Anyway Saturday was filled with some great launches.Part were HPR about 10 on I,H,Jand a whole lot of G's We… Continue

I will take ours over theres anyday. C6-5 They are not going to get a slow flight, or much altitude. After all, squirrels cant fly, they just jump, and always hit trees or the ground. Take care

Very nice. My original design had the assymetrical design. Mr Lannie convinced me that symmetry would provide better imperical data. I've done some experiments with styrofoam planes too, the wings 'crack' and the seam in the plastic ruins the flight pattern of the plane. Course it's a hellofa lot easier than scratch building balsa planes. I gotta get back out there one of these days...rotten college education.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. As of now, the I-ROC has been grounded as I am in the midst of building an electronics bay for it. The I-ROC will be an extra 20" longer. Too bad you weren't able to fly this past weekend. Once that is done, the I-ROC will only fly on I Motors in the single deploy configuration, and I will fly J's in dual deploy configuration. Next I motor flight I am hoping for is the I357 Blue Thunder.

Jewel - thanks for the nice comments on Outland'ish. It means a lot when I know that a guy who is tube-crazy likes it. I have a fondness for the silly things and still dream about an L3 done with a tube or ring. My L1 was straight simple tube - L2 was a ring with 9 struts with three acting as fins outside the ring. Gotta think of something unusual for the L3... that or use a 3FNC kit. <:(
