Bill:
I have not been a fan of external switches as they can get shut off by bumping into stuff on the way down, like trees, finces and other places. Anyway, Radio Shack sells a Push On/Off Red square button switch I use internally. It has a good positive click action that I arm through the altimerter breathing holes in the rocket. You have to have at least a 2.56" airframe to have the room to work with it. Otherwise, I just twist the power leads together and shove it back in the rocket before flight. Its not sexing but works for small airframes. Also if i understood yoru question, I would have a switch for both devices in the rocket. Keep altimeter wiring as clean and simple as possible..

Sure - anytime after Wednesday will work...
Also, a bunch of us are going to Orangeburg next Sunday - if you are going - we can talk and show you options there.
There are several ways to make the e-bay. Some make it so that is totally removable - I think Mark's book highlights that one. I have some that I epoxy the bay into the payload section but leave te bulkheads loose - I use threaded rod amd wing nuts to hold it all together.

I use simple screw switches that I get from Aerocon - many others use the every thing from toggle switches to 3 way and yes some of the long time flyers simply twist the wires together...
Next thursday is a possibility.
Shunting the ejection charges is possible... I know folks that do that...let's discuss that when we get together - there is a con - in that it complicates things and sometimes simple is better.

I see you have several other questions and I see Brad has done a very good job responding. Also, Mark's book has some great pics...but just like you when I first started getting in to dual deployment, I just couldn;t visualize wome of these things...
Maybe we could get a few of us together sometime and we could show you some of these items so you can see them, then you could better understand the pros and cons...
I wish we were flying at the farm right now - then we could easily show you there. I will be at Oburg next month. Or if you would like, you could come over sometime and I could have Mark or some of the others over and you could get a look at these parts...
I have tried several methods myself. Each for a specific reason on that rocket... Other guys build the same basic e-bay for each or their rockets regardless.

The beeper you are referring to...do you mean a tracking beeper? If you are, I use a simple personal alarm tied to my shock cord. It has a pull pin that you attach further up the cord so that when the cord is fully extended, it pulls the pin and the alarm sounds. They are cheap, a couple of bucks and work just fine, You can find them still on e-bay.
As for the missleworks. It is a great unit. I mentioned in one of the threads, that I have that one along with several others. I have only had that one for about 8 months - flown it 4 times...never failed me. More complicated than some of the others - but once you get the programming piece figured out - it really is quite simple to use. Jim Amos is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet as well. Quick response to any and all questions.
