No I never have. I was under the impression that tungston was brittle and difficult to work with. Another thing, will silver solder work with tungston?

My matches are made with 50 gauge Nichrome. I'm supposing the Nichrome is less expensive as well. Any more I buy the chips then attach leads myself. Less work.

Have you ever tried tungsten wire as a bridge wire for an ematch? The company where I work uses Hamilton microliter syringes for gas chromatography and the small manual injection ones come with very fine tungsten wire for cleaning the needle. I tried a few with a 9 volt battery and they light up like a Christmas tree bulb for a second before they burn through. The lab techs were throwing them away, but now save them for me.
Just curious

TamEx is a research motor simulator. It is pretty much a plain jane thing. Its the only software I have been able to use with any luck. It will do Bates grain and Slotted grain motors, I don't think it will do moon burners or any of the other grain configurations. Most of it is me, I'm not exactly a motor expert. There are many others that have a great deal more knowledge than I.

I'm sure that BurnSim is a great program, I just haven't taken the time to learn it. I'll see if I can find a link to the download for you and post it here.

TamEx is the program I was introduced to early in the EX process and I have stuck with it.

Still in Lake Jackson, I'm from Wichita (originally). I guess I need to change that, sometimes I take things to literally.

The Hot Coils have been very successful ... glad to hear it too. Next time try the E-Match Kits. They will work with all electronics that I know of. They are very popular in California.
