I got my level 1 cert this weekend at Michigan international speedway with the Jackson model rocketry club. The winds were out of the SE at about 5 to 8 mph at around 10:30 am .There was a period of dead calm at around 11:45 when I launched my scratch built "Big Orange" on a Cesaroni H143ss. I estimate the altitude at about 1900 to 2100 ft. it landed about 800 yards away. It had a 1/4 in. zipper upon recovery other than that everything was fine.
