Our Planet

Where did everyone go? This site looked like it would be a great place for all of us to talk about our new projects and spread the word about launches and things. Then all of a sudden it died. I have to admit that I have not contributed as much as I would like but I am in the middle of having to move to another state because of my job etc. What can we do to get this going again? Maybe when spring comes and we start launching more this will pick up.

I'm still here. I have setup a club group and most of my content has been focused on that. But I am blogging occasionally.

I'm here. I don't have anything building right now. Except for a new camera payload section for my 4" rocket "Research One" I purchased some 8" Quickrette tubes for my LDRS project. I have spent more time staring at it trying to figure out my next step. But once I jump in with both feet I promise to post my build thread. Yesterday we spent the day flying model rockets with the local NAR club and then the afternoon we cleaned and inventoried our Tripoli club equipment for our upcoming spring season.

I am here. I am starting to build a 4" Public Enemy Patriot. Other than that, I am trying to figure a way to get the cash together for my L3.

It has seemed a little dead, but these thingscome and go I would thing...it is probably just a lul.

It;s good to know some people are still here. I am going to start building a PML Callisto for my SRS 29mm hybrid system. I have to change the motor mounts and add a payload bay. Our 1st launch of the year is on March 1st but my son's birthay party is the same day so I won't get to go to the launch.

I'm back. I'm sure the holidays, getting slammed at the shop and 2 months of cold with 90 inches of snow has made me think of other things besides rocketry - but today the sun is shining and I eyeballed the GLR Talon 2 kit that is waiting quietly for me! The season is fast approaching!!!! I gotta get my butt in gear!

Still here too and starting to build again! Just posted a couple of a little Mercury Engineering Atomizer - 24mm minimum diameter LPR. Had to post some pics of it cause it don't look like its going to be long for this planet. I actually started building this one to kill my frustration in my Cosmodrome Black Brant II kit. The paint scheme is driving me nuts, and the templates that came with it do not make any sense to me at all!!! ARGGGGGG. Maybe I should just paint the whole thing black and tell people is was a double dog dare ya, secret one?

Last couple of CATO launches were scrubbed due to water, ice, snow, plain ole crappy weather. Looks like my first launch of the season is going to be Red Glare 4 in April. At least I'll get to air out the HyperLoc835 and the Minie Magg, Always fun to watch the big dawgs run down there - last time highlight was a 4 way "O" motor drag race!

I had the same feeling that this was dying off and then realized I wasn't adding anything to it either! I guess the only way it will take back off again is for all of us to add a little bit at a time consistently. I think we all feed off of each others activity here. You see someone building something or flying something and it gets the spark going back up in yourself again. Something like that, or I just could be full of crap!!

Still here as well Gene, trying to find time to get ready for the NAR NSL in May. I did get my L2 done this past weekend though! Trying to post more in our local ROCC club section as well.

Lots of folks are still here I guess, but just not posting much... I know that's my case anyway. I might read the thread but not post much.

Doc.
