A funny thing happened on the way to the forum...

Lately I have noticed that rocketry forums are not as fun as they used to be. Good people who would have a great time together at a launch are treating each other with suspicion and derision. Normally friendly people challenge each other and butt heads. We are hurt and we hurt others with words. I think there are several underlying factors: the rough and tumble competition that is going on for the smaller quantity of hobby rocketry dollars, the stress and fatigue from supporting a seemingly endl… Continue

By tone dowm the BP story. This flight was my first with alt. contraled ejection and I had gotten some advice from the EXPERTS on how much BP to use. BAsed on the 29mm aerotech motors I had launched I was looking at a small red cap full. Someone joked that I should use half of something and someone else chimed in that half a can was'nt enough and so on. I did make giute a puff of smoke though and now know that the half a can was really too much.

Hey Steve, I should have read your bio before sending a reply for answering my question about Balls.
I've been coming to Bozeman/Big Sky for the past 25 years to ski and snowmobile. Sounds like you have a long building season ;-)

That would be a Pat G. SPR M1392? 76mm great flight, that rocket has 6 flights on it that is the flight after my LVL 3 Cert. I'm doing some rework so I can use one of Pat G's N4000's 98mm WWI motors

Did you hear the insane giggling going on after the flight? None of us were prepared for that kind of takeoff. I halfway expected to see the fins hanging in the air for a second, like Wile E. Coyote after he runs off the edge of the cliff.

I would have to go check my pants after that flight.

Man, that H999 nearly knocked the launch pad over! That was incredible!
