Build Project for 2010 Level 3 Cert.

I've decided to take the plunge and begin a L3 project. The rocket I'm building is a 5.5" diameter upscale of one of my scratch 2.6" diameter rockets pictured below, called the Vengeance. I gave the 2.6" Vengeance to my son as a Christmas present last year, but the 5.5" version will definitely remain in my rocket hanger.… Continue

Level 1 Cert. Flight

I successfully completed my Level 1 cert. flight today, 3/1/2008. I flew my LOC IV on a 29/240 Mojave Green H250G-M. It was a great looking flight with parachute deployment just as the rocket began to arc over. I’m not sure about the projected altitude because I don’t have a good set of data for the Mojave Green motor to edit i… Continue

Rocket Storage & Transportation Rack

Recently, I built a storage and transportation rack out of PVC for my rockets. The fact that I needed a better way to transport them to the flying field undamaged motivated this project. Current Stuff:

I built this rocket we call the Vengeance to give as a Christmas present to my son. The plan for the maiden flight was 3/7/09. That plan didn't happen.

We made the maiden flight at Southern Thunder 2009 on June 20th.

The Vengeance flew for the first time on a J335 Red Rhino.

The altimeter reported 5801' and it sim'ed at just over 725mph max speed.

Everything performed flawlessly!

Hi Rich
I was looking at your Ebay and was wondering what you used for the arming switch?

I am building one from scratch and like that is is not attached to the tube.

Great job on the Hi-Tech 45. That should get you to L1 and L2. Good Luck
