Hi Bob: I just called up top flight. And I ordered a 48" chute. Which in a X form will make my I-roc come down a lot better than the 48" chute I had that was round. The guy at top flight told me that a 48 will be a lot better. Also he told me I should use a swivel. He said they turn sometimes And with a swivel it won't get tangled. I got a really bright green and black chute. I was tired of the chute that had come with it. It would hang up there and drift really far. Unlike any other rocket I ever had? I guess the chute just was not matched up that well with the weight of the rocket. It weighs 7.3 with the motor. So with this chute it will be coming down at about 18-19 mph. And are field is super soft sod. So no worry's there. I have another spare I-roc kit. Hanging around here from Barry Last year. So I went and ordered a bulkhead for it and 27" airframe. So eventually I'll put that together with a different paint job. I am thinking on making it a dual deploy. I am getting ready for LDRS lol I bought a cell phone cigerete lighter charger So I can use the GPS on my phone on the drive up lol. The gps on my cell works good! It's all I need. I don't like the ones in the way on the dash board anyway. At 4pm your time NASCAR is on fox 5. They are at Darlington earning there stripes lol. When you made the two shirts at vista. I was meaning to ask you. When you uploaded the logo. Did it say the pixels were right. Because when I did it a picture was to small once. But I had them resize it. And it came out better. That launch last night. got cratched again at the two minute mark! I was watching the NASA launch from VA. Anyway now I don't think it will happen untill may 19th.That was frustrating as hell. All that waiting Only to have it scratched at the two minute countdown lol. I can understand with 60M in satelights they want it to be right. Well hopefully one week from today. We will be celebrating for real this time on our win with the ATF. I don't trust those guy's lol :) Oh I wanted to tell you. I have the T-maz RC truck. It's a nice truck. It has lots of power. I go up to a track and race it every once in a while nowaday's.I like the gas rather than electric. They have some great electric ones. But the gas ones are just so realistic. Ya know that waaaaahhh sound and the frunt when it climbs. They have that big exhaust pipe on them. Well I'm going to go get somthing to eat. I'll talk to you soon. Mike.
Hi Bob: I see your online as I am writing this. Thats great what you said about all the bikes. I had my first bike at age 7 a Elsinore honda MR-50 the thing flew lol! Then I had all the yamaha YZ-80's from the YZ-80 B and every year untill I got big enough for a 125 etc.. Ever heard of Boris Said in NASCAR? He is a really good friend of mine. We grew up together racing motocross. Yeah I spoke to Bob Hannah. About a week ago. We keep in touch. He is into fixing up old planes fighters etc.. And then seelling him. He is a broker for planes. You tell him what you want. And he gets it simple lol/ At the moment I have a yamaha xt225 on/off road bike it's fun! So thats good you went to vista print. If you send them a deacl or pic. It will comw out better than if you send a picture online. But not if the pixels are okay. It will tell youn when you go to make it. I also raced go karts I had my first when I was about 7 or so lol I raced yamaha Go karts they went about 90mph an inch of the ground with two stroke motors! What else right lol Sick sick sick! ;) lol So I still ride and stuff. But I am 45 now. So I am much to old for any competitive Motocross lol It was for fun. But I won some big races! The Anehiem superbowl in LA stadium etc.. I went to Unadilla in new Berlin NY. Some of the biggest mx races in the world were there. between Roger Decoster 5 time world champ and Bob Awesome racing. I was there. I have Bobs helmet and race pants and he gave me many of his huge trophy's It was a lot of fun. That would be nice to have a aeropack shirt. I will wear it at my launches! I built a Volkswagon Buggy when I was 16 and it had the big fat tires And a fiberglass body kit. I drove it up the stirs at my high school lol! Yeah I was a bit crazy lol. So when are you going to a launch? My next will be June 6th then it's off to LDRS And then NERFF at Metra in Pine island where I alway's launch. Thats where NERFF is being held. I just remembered it is 3 hours behind in California. I am going to be ordering a downsizer from 75mm-54 do you have them in that size? Also an engraved motor retainer for a 54mm motor tube. So I will give you a chance to write back lol I will look forward to the t shirt thanks Mike. Talk to ya soon!
Hi Bob! What a small world lol ;) It's Mike DeCaro in Stamford Ct. I was on rocketry planet. Ans I was reading replies to a post. And somone who had replied to a old post actualy the board moderater. Had a link to the sight and said to check it out. I swear I said to myself. That bugy looks familiar. Oh yeah! I know where I seen it. So I was going to write and say I know who you are. I am going to take a guess etc.. But then I read what you had written and seen aeropack lol. But I reconized the Buggy then the name. then I seen the light lol :) Hey did I ever tell you I was a pro motocrosser at age 16. I went like through the states with Bob Hannah. I don't know if you have ever heard of him? So did you ever do anything with the print place? That hat saved me last saterday from getting burned bad! When was the last time you launched. As of today May 9th we have 7 day's left for the atf to try to appeal. I think were going to be okay. It's looking promising for the hobby right! Well I'll wait to hear back from you.Mike.
